"With speed and ferocity to match your own, the Marauder is one of the most aggressive and deadly enemies you’ll face in DOOM Eternal. While not an insurmountable challenge, defeating him will require precision, awareness, and a deadly loadout.

The Marauder’s first line of offense is his axe. At range, he’ll release energy blasts that does serious damage. Keep an eye on when he does and use your dodge accordingly—stay clear of his projectiles and you’ll have a leg up in combat.

At close range, the Marauder’s axe becomes even deadlier. He’ll constantly pressure you with horizontal and vertical swings while trying to back you into corners. Just before he attacks, you’ll see his eyes flash green—signaling your chance to strike! Get a shot off with your Super Shotgun or your Ballista and the Marauder will be staggered for a brief moment, preventing him from completing his attack. If you attack before his eye flash, his shield will deflect anything you throw at him. Be patient and wait for the right moment! Be mindful of the Marauder's other close range attack, powerful Double Barreled Shotgun blast. Get too close and he’ll make sure you don’t make that mistake again.

Another element of the Marauder’s offense is his Wolf Summon. This baneful beast will hunt you down and attack you with powerful bites that can leave you scrambling for health drops. When the Wolf is summoned, prioritize eliminating it—a Super Shotgun blast should do the trick!

Slayer Strategy: Getting backed into corners too often? Use your Super Shotgun’s Meathook to launch over the Marauder, and get a little breathing room to reset your attacks.
