With this update, you can now download and play additional game content for both DOOM (1993) and DOOM II! Add-on content includes a curated list of community-made episodes and megawads for DOOM and DOOM II, including SIGIL!

Add-ons can be downloaded free from the main menu for both DOOM and DOOM II. We’re launching with an initial batch of Add-ons, but we’ll be in touch with all you Slayers soon for suggestions on the best WADs to include in the future! For more deets, check out our Add-ons FAQ here.

60 FPS Support

SIGIL Imp in-body

For the first time, DOOM (1993) and DOOM II now have native 60 FPS support on all platforms, up from the original games’ 35 FPS. Enjoy that silky-smooth framerate and run circles around those Barons!

Quick Saves

SIGIL Cyberdemon in-body

We’re adding the ultimate tool for any Marine practicing speedruns or surviving DOOM’s Nightmare! difficulty: Quick Saves. While paused in DOOM or DOOM II, simply press R/R1/RB to save your current position. Should you need to load up that spot again during play, just head back to the pause screen and press L/L1/LB!

And so much more!

SIGIL

That’s not all! The re-releases of DOOM (1993) and DOOM II have been decked out with an arsenal of new options and quality-of-life adjustments, including a Quick Weapon Select feature, improved Level Select function, added Aspect Ratio and Brightness options, a new split-screen HUD and more!
