A query as old as the game itself, ”Can it run DOOM?” is the ultimate test for hardcore tech junkies when it comes to just about any device with a screen. While that usually prompts some serious elbow grease from enthusiasts looking to get DOOM running on the strangest places possible, we’re pleased to announce Chromebooks as the next platform that lets you get your DOOM on – no hacking required!

Yes, it’s not as unconventional a place to boot up E1M1 as, say, a Kodak camera, but what’s great about demon slaying on ChromeBooks is that this isn’t some cobbled-together code – it’s our official re-releases of DOOM (1993) and DOOM II!

In addition to playing these classic games on the go through ChromeOS, players can download Add-On content, sync up Bluetooth controllers and even earn special skins for DOOM Eternal!

We’re excited to make it official, Chromebooks run DOOM!

Not all members are eligible to earn additional DOOM Eternal content through the digital rewards program.
