QuakeCon 2022 is here! It’s that time of year where we celebrate the joys of gaming with a packed weekend of livestreams, charity drives, giveaways and of course, tons of games. We can’t forget the old-school LAN party roots of this wonderful event, so what better way to ring in this year’s QuakeCon than some new Add-ons for our classic id Software titles?

We’re excited to drop not one, but two new additions to our Add-ons library today! As always, these Add-ons are available to download via the in-game Add-ons menu for each respective re-release, including DOOM(1993), DOOM II and Quake. Take on a massive demonic uprising in Revolution! for DOOM (1993) and DOOM II, or battle through massive single-player maps in Rubicon 2 for Quake! Just visit the Add-ons menu in-game to check out this new content, plus the other great community-made Add-ons we’ve already released.

That’s not all! Owners of our re-release of Quake are getting something special with our newly released update: Threewave Capture The Flag. Arriving as a built-in multiplayer mode with Update 4, Threewave CTF brings back the mod that helped Quake pioneer an entire game mode. Join in tense team battles for up to eight players as you race to bring home your opponents’ flag while protecting your own! Get the full rundown on Threewave Capture The Flag in our full Quake Update 4 patch notes.

Also, don’t forget that you have September 1 to unlock the QuakeCon 2020 Slayer skin for DOOM Eternal. Just log into the game to receive your reward and battle Hell’s armies in slick QC colors.

Whether you’re setting up high-speed games of Threewave CTF online with your friends or powering through demon-infested maps solo, energy drinks in hand, we hope you enjoy these new Add-ons and updates - have an amazing QuakeCon!
