Get hyped for DOOM’s best speedrunners at QuakeCon 2019!

Itching to see DOOM played at incredible speeds? The Year of DOOM has you covered and then some! As part of QuakeCon 2019’s special DOOMCon event, we’re bringing some of the world’s best DOOM speedrunners to show their stuff live on stage for your viewing pleasure.

Starting 12pm CDT on Saturday, July 27, see runners BloodThunder, ZELLLOOO, ByteMe and Kingdime (fresh from his appearance at Summer Games Done Quick as they complete Ultimate DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, DOOM 64 and DOOM (2016) as fast as possible. When they’ve finished their runs, we’re capping the night off with something equally awesome and unexpected: a four-player speedrun battle!

We’re taking inspiration from 1989’s The Wizard and hosting a live-on-stage race at 7:30pm CDT where our speedrunners extraordinaire will simultaneously run through the DOOM Eternal ‘Mars Core’ demo. Who will rip and tear through the demo first? You’ll just have to watch it to find out!
