2021 hath arrived! Time to make some noise.

Crackers and bottle rockets are the usual cacophony at the start of a new year, but now it’s time to crank up the official Slayers Club Spotify playlist with a supplement of new tracks we’ve added that meet our criteria of keeping us pumped and/or in a mood to crush demon skulls.

Enjoy these tunes for whatever your day – or this year – brings your way.

floating point – The Algorithm

Hacker metal, baby! The high-speed percussion and digital blips paint a picture of a corrupted computer terminal from Hell – perfect for a DOOM playlist (or days when we’re struggling to troubleshoot our gaming rigs)

Robot Stop – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Australian rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard (say that three times fast) make the list with this blood-pumping prog jam. We kick off work with a little extra Slayer energy now thanks to the verse “loosen up/time to drop/f s up/don’t forget about it.

Oops!...I Did It Again – Children of Bodom

Not that the OG Britney version couldn’t bop its way to our official playlist, but we also love headbanging along to this cover by melodic death metal legends Children of Bodom. You can tell the band is having a blast performing this song and that what can we say, that joy is infectious.

Self vs Self – Pendulum (feat. In Flames)

Drum and bass crew Pendulum teams up with Swedish heavy metal group In Flames for an energetic mosh jam that just begs to be used as the soundtrack for some content creator’s hyped-up BATTLEMODE highlight montage. We know you’re thinking about it!

hand crushed by a mallet – 100 gecs

100 gecs are an acquired taste thanks to their maximalist “all genres, all styles, all the time” approach to making music, but Slayers are more than prepared for the musical duo’s breed of chaos. After all, navigating treacherous lava pits and dodging incoming projectiles while also dueling double Marauders is just another day on the job when you’re playing DOOM Eternal.
