How id Tech 7 prepares for current-gen…and next-gen!

DOOM (1993) didn’t just revolutionize gaming – it pushed the boundaries of technology itself. Since then, id Software has maintained its penchant for evolving tech, with DOOM Eternal debuting a whole new engine built for a whole new era of gaming: id Tech 7.

In conjunction with IGN First, id’s lead engine programmer Billy Khan got a chance to talk about id Tech 7.
