Take a tour of one of the biggest DOOM fan collections in the world!
By: Parker Wilhelm
When a franchise rips and tears for more than 25 years, it’s guaranteed to amass all kinds of memorabilia, merchandise and collectibles for fans to pine over. While most fans’ DOOM shrines only contain a fraction of what’s out there, most shrines aren’t like Mahmut Saral’s.
Collecting items for over 17 years, Mahmut has accumulated over 300 pieces (and counting!) from DOOM’s past and present. It’s not just off-the-shelf merch either - the collection includes press clippings, autographs, promotional shirts and even a few gifts from the developer’s personal collections.
Check out a video tour of Mahmut’s impressive collection in the video below. It’s like a virtual museum tour of all things DOOM!
Some of you sharp-eyed Slayers may recognize a few of Mahmut’s finds from our DOOMorabilia series covering special trinkets from throughout DOOM’s history, including a full set of the Reaper Miniatures pewter figurines and even the official DOOM (2005 film) trading cards.
Oh, and if you’re digging the video’s music, check out Sulfur Ensemble for more sludgy metal from Turkey’s underground rock scene. After all, if there’s one thing the Club appreciate outside of next-level DOOM collections, it’s hard-hittin’ tunes.
