Player-versus-player is the name of game in our latest piece of coverage from our month-long collab with IGN First. That’s right – it’s time to show y’all more of DOOM Eternal’s BATTLEMODE!

Developed completely from the ground up at id Software as a unique take on PvP first-person shooter combat, BATTLEMODE pits one player as the fully loaded Slayer against two cunning Demon players – each with their own abilities, traps and summoned minions!

IGN’s James Duggan returns to show off the 2v1 game mode with the expert insight of the game’s creative director, Hugo Martin. Check out over 12 minutes of BATTLEMODE gameplay to see DOOM Eternal’s multiplayer in action. Thanks to Hugo’s protips, you may even learn a few tricks to get a head start on the competition!
